About Rotten Aura & How We Collect Our Data
Last updated 22 October 2026
What this site is
Rotten Aura is an independent fan site that shows live countdowns for gacha banners, current redeem codes and livestream times for 6 games: Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, Neverness to Everness, Arknights: Endfield. It is unofficial and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game developer or publisher. Game names, characters and trademarks belong to their owners.
Where the data comes from
- Banners: community wikis and gaming-news pages (for example Game8, PC Gamer and PCGamesN), read by our own scripts. Banner dates are not copied from an official feed.
- Codes: several code-roundup pages per game, compared against each other (see the rule below).
- Livestreams: official announcement pages where one is reachable, with community pages as a fallback signal. When no stream is announced we say so instead of guessing a date.
Dates are shown in UTC and as countdowns; the exact start time can differ by server region. Always confirm against the game itself before spending anything.
How codes are accepted
The rule depends on the game, because the three HoYoverse games have an official redeem system and the others do not:
- Wuthering Waves, Neverness to Everness, Arknights: Endfield: a code is published when at least one source lists it. This is a looser rule than two-source confirmation, chosen on 21 October 2026 to publish new codes faster; a single-source code can still turn out to be wrong or already expired.
- Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero: a code is published when two or more sources list it, or when it is a permanent code. A code with only one source and no permanent status is held back and not shown.
- Codes whose own expiry date has already passed are never published, and a published code is greyed out and marked Expired once its date passes.
What is automated and what a person checks
A scheduled server collects pages, uses a language model to read them into structured fields, and applies fixed rules (date checks, duplicate checks, the code rules above, a schema check that refuses malformed data). Items that pass with high confidence are published automatically, and there is no human sign-off on each one. Items that fail the checks, such as banners without both dates or HoYoverse codes with a single source, are queued instead of published. The site owner aims to review that queue and recent automatic publishes about every three days; this is a reminder-driven routine, not a guarantee. Nothing is predicted: a banner or code appears only because a source listed it.
"Last checked" on codes
A code shows "Last checked" only when a real check recorded it. Today most codes carry no such mark, because we have not yet verified them against the games' redeem systems. When a code has no check date, we show when we first saw it instead of implying it was tested.
Rerun tracker
Each game has an Archive page listing every character banner on record and how many days each character has waited since their last banner. It is calculated from our own past records and is not an official announcement or a prediction of future banners.
